Dr. Elif Karlık graduated from Istanbul University with graduation thesis “Osmotic Stress and Heat Shock in Glucose Suppression Resistant Schizosaccharomyces pombe Constructive Invertase Mutants”. In 2012, she graduated from Molecular Biology and Genetics Department at the same university as she got her bachelor’s degree. Her master thesis topic was Virus-Induced Gene Silencing Studies in Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)”. During her master thesis, she has gained right to get TUBITAK Scientist Support Scholarship (BIDEB-2210). In 2018, she got her PhD degree from Biotechnology Department at Istanbul University. Her PhD working field was “Investigations on Long Non-coding RNAs in Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)”. She also received the TUBITAK Scientist Support Scholarship (BIDEB-2211), which she started during her master thesis, and completed her PhD with this scholarship. She has several articles published in international and national refereed journals.
