Today, engineering, basic and natural sciences are the fields most needed to solve local and universal problems. Goals such as solving the problems faced by humanity, improving the quality of life, facilitating daily tasks, and developing advanced technologies can be achieved with the contribution of studies in mathematics, physics, chemistry and engineering. Accordingly, our Faculty of Engineering offers departments of Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Software Engineering in the fields of engineering, and departments of Mathematics, Molecular Biology and Genetics and Chemistry in basic and natural sciences. Our departments aim to serve our goal of training scientists by carrying out education, research and development activities at both high quality and international standards. In this direction, academic activities are carried out with undergraduate programs as well as graduate programs in Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence Engineering, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Physics (PhD) and Chemistry (PhD).
Our faculty aims to conduct research based on advanced technology in line with the research-oriented high goals of our university, to produce new knowledge and technologies, to contribute to the development of society by developing solutions to local and universal problems.
In line with the vision of our university, it is among the most important priorities of our faculty to integrate research and development activities, which have artificial intelligence at the center, with all our engineering and natural sciences fields, and to create products that touch our lives. We continue on our way with a rich national and international academic staff with high research potential, who can transform research results into benefits, and whose research topics are in a wide range, and we constantly strive to be better.
One of the most effective ways to improve ourselves and to be involved in R&D studies that can touch life more effectively is to take part in national and international working groups where interdisciplinary interaction is provided. We encourage all our academics to develop collaborations with other research groups in Turkey and abroad. One of the best examples of this is our academics working in the world's leading basic research and technology centers such as CERN. Another example is the Artificial Intelligence Applications in Medicine Research Center.
The educational approach of our faculty; In connection with the mission of our university, it has a student-centered structure that constantly follows, adopts and implements new developments in cooperation with the sector. Our aim is to educate individuals who act with team spirit, compete at a universal level, approach problems rationally, make strategic plans, attach importance to knowledge, proceed on a scientific path, have ethical values, produce, are responsible to society, and innovative and entrepreneurial leaders who shape society.
