The projects of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayca Z. İlter Tataroğlu, who continues to work within our Molecular Biology, Genetics and Protein R&D Laboratory, were entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1501 and 3501.
Focusing on new generation cellular therapy in the TÜBİTAK 1501 high budget project, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayca Z. İlter Tataroğlu is working on personalised treatment methods for leukaemia. She aims to develop a treatment method to turn immune system cells obtained from patients into ‘fighter’ cells that specifically recognise cancer cells and return them to the patient. The project is carried out in cooperation with Liv Hospital Vadistanbul and Virostem Biotechnology.
The TÜBİTAK 3501 comprehensive project, in which Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayca Z. İlter Tataroğlu takes part as a researcher, is carried out under the consultancy of Asst. Prof. Dr. Özgür Tataroğlu and in cooperation with Okan University, and includes the gene editing technique.
We congratulate Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayca Z. İlter Tataroğlu and wish her continued success.
