Our student Atheer Khalaf from the department of mechanical engineering at Istinye university is thrilled to join Samsung SDI-Hungary as a mechanical engineer. Samsung has been recognized as one of the most leading manufacturers of Li-ion batteries for Electric Vehicles. We congratulate our students and his advisor, Dr. Şenol Pişkin
"I would like to express my sincere appreciation to my university and the entire academic staff, feeling truly honoured to be one of your students. I'd like to express my gratitude to Prof. Senol Piskin, from whom I gained valuable knowledge and who provided me with the opportunity to learn and work in the labs.
As an engineering student at Istinye, I was given the chance to work in every lab at our campus ( physics, robotics, mechanics, and extended reality lab… etc) . My interest was focused on the extended reality lab. Under Prof. Piskin's mentorship, I gained valuable knowledge in engineering simulations, FEA, and robotics. Together, we developed a robotic hand that employs a pre-trained model to operate wirelessly through CV. We extended our project by performing Finite element analysis on the robotic hand model to analyse the structural behaviour of the robotic hand in terms of (stress and deformation) when it’s subjected to certain amount of load
part of the project was presented at the International Society of Biomechanics in Japan, and filed a patent application. Currently, Prof. Senol and I are collaboratively drafting a research paper based on our project, soon to be submitted. I am profoundly thankful for my university and the entire academic staff especially Prof. Senol for his unwavering support, motivation, and guidance throughout my university journey”.
