In 2000, she graduated from Physics Teaching Depratment of Boğaziçi University. She started her PhD studies in 2003 and received her PhD degree in 2010. Between 2010-2012, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Argonne National Laboratory. In 2014 she became associate professor of solid state physics.
