Melike Atakol completed her undergraduate education at Inonu University, Department of Chemistry in 2007. Between 2007 and 2010, she carried out her master's studies in the field of Analytical Chemistry in Ankara University and submitted her thesis titled "Investigation of Cu Complexes Containing both a Destabilizing Group and an Azido Group by Thermal Analysis Methods". Between 2010 and 2015, she carried out her doctoral studies in the field of Analytical Chemistry in Ankara University, on "Investigation of the Analysis of Monocyclic and Bicyclic Aromatic Energetic Substances Containing Amino, Nitro and Azido Groups by Chromatographic Methods". Between 2015-2022, she worked as an Inspection Specialist at the Turkish Standards Institute, Construction Materials Fire Acoustic Laboratory. She continues her academic studies as an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Istinye University.
