Ragıp Başbuğ started his education at ITU Electrical and Electronics Faculty. Then he studied Master and Ph.D. education in the ITU Control Computer Engineering department. He worked as a Research Assistant in ITU Control Computer Engineering Department and in TÜBİTAK ROBOTICS Department respectively. He completed Ph.D. degree in Robot Control in 1995. Ragıp Başbuğ, established Mekatronik Corporation for robot production in Tübitak Technopark. He started working as an Assistant Prof. at the Computer Engineering Department at Gebze Technical University. During this assignment, he taught Masters and Ph.D. Courses and directed Master theses. He gave lectures on Robot Control, Adaptive Control, Fuzzy Control, Artificial Neural Networks and Artificial Fuzzy Control in GTU. He taught Computer Engineering as a lecturer at the Naval Academy between 1998-2000. After Academic life, he produced sixteen different software solutions about ERP, MRP, CRM, B2B, B2C, C2C for the Automotive sector.
