Faculty Member, PhD
Samira Kaya
Dr. Samira Mohagheghi received her B.Sc. degree from Sahand University of Technology, Iran in 2006. Upon graduating, she spent the next four years in industry as a quality control supervisor in a metal heat treatment company. She received her M.Sc. degree in 2012 from Azad University and spent 1 year as a visiting scholar in Tabriz University, Iran. She was then awarded a full scholarship to conduct her Ph.D. study in Materials Science and Engineering Program at Koç University. Following the completion of her Ph.D. in 2018, she worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow funded through the TÜBİTAK Bilateral Project with France, a collaboration between Koç University and Sorbonne Université, Institut des NanoSciences de Paris from 2018 to 2020. Dr. Mohagheghi joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at İstinye University as an Assistant Professor in 2020.
