Dr. Samira Mohagheghi lisans derecesini 2006 yılında Iran’da bulunan Sahand University of Technology’sinden aldı. Lisans derecesini tamamladıktan sonraki dört yılını bir metal ısıl işlem fabrikasında kalite kontrol yöneticisi olarak geçirdi. Master derecesini 2012 yılında Tehran Azad University’sinden aldı ve 1 yılını ziyaretçi araştırmacı olarak Tabriz Universiy’sinde tamamladı. Sonrasında Koç Üniversitesi Malzeme bilimi ve Mühendisliği bölümünden doktora yapmak üzere tam burs kazandı. Doktorasını 2018 yılında tamamladıktan sonra, TÜBİTAK ve Fransa tarafından desteklenen, Koç Üniversitesi ve Sorbonne Université, Institut des NanoSciences de Paris arasındaki ortak bir projede, 2018-2020 yılları arasında doktora sonrası araştırma görevi olarak geçirdi. Dr. Mohagheghi 2020’de İstinye Üniversite’si Makina Mühendisliği fakültesinde öğretim üyesi olarak göreve başladı.

Araştırma Alanları: Katılaşma, Mikroyapı oluşumu, Kristal Büyümesi, Metalik ve Organic Alaşımlarında Çok Fazlı Büyüme Cephe Dinamikleri, Kristal Sıvı ve Kristal Arayüzey Anisotropisi
