The projects of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayca Z. İlter Tataroğlu, who continues to work within our Molecular Biology, Genetics and Protein R&D Laboratory, were entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1501 and 3501.

Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics faculty member Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Nur Ay conducts intensive studies on the increasing number of cancer cases in the world and the immune system.

Within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Kutlu, the knowledge required for drug design for rare diseases is produced in our Molecular Modelling and Bioinformatics R&D Laboratory.

Every year, 15 February is accepted as International Childhood Cancer Day in order to raise awareness and emphasise this point for individuals diagnosed with cancer in childhood.

Plant species that are difficult or problematic to produce with traditional methods are developed using tissue culture methods in our Plant Tissue Culture R&D Laboratory with the work of Prof. Dr. Elif Aylin Özüdoğru, Head of Molecular Biology and Genetics Department, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences.
