The projects of Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayca Z. İlter Tataroğlu, who continues to work within our Molecular Biology, Genetics and Protein R&D Laboratory, were entitled to be supported within the scope of TÜBİTAK 1501 and 3501.

Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics faculty member Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Nur Ay conducts intensive studies on the increasing number of cancer cases in the world and the immune system.

Within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Kutlu, the knowledge required for drug design for rare diseases is produced in our Molecular Modelling and Bioinformatics R&D Laboratory.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Doğa Can Sertbaş, one of our faculty members from the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, met with the students of the Türk Eğitim Vakfı İnanç Türkeş Özel Lisesi (TEVİTÖL) on February 11, 2025 with his speech titled “Probabilistic Method and Some Applications”.

The project team, including Lect. Burak Güler from İstinye University Vocational School Aircraft Technology Program and Mehmet Emin Postallı, our 4th year student from the Department of Software Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, was accepted to the “HAVELSAN AIJET BİGG Program”.

Assoc. Prof. Pınar Çakır Hatır, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, is working on the development of targeted smart nanocarriers in our Nanotechnology and Biomaterials Laboratory.

Within the scope of the Aviation, Space and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST 2024, organised by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, our students from the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences representing Istinye University in the category of ‘Technology Competition for the Benefit of Humanity-Disaster Management’ came 2nd in Turkey.
